My Story...
Like many, I started as employed in a large optical chain. Tired of the short lunches, less than average pay and constant back to back appointments - I desired to become a locum. I heard rumours about better pay, worklife balance and feeling in control of your career.
One problem: Not a single person in the UK had made a clear guide on how to do it!
I'm not anyone special, so I have put years into my locum journey and then more into helping others who were once in my shoes - wanting to locum but had nowhere to go.
Now, fortunately, I'm dedicated to helping any UK optometrist who wants to transition to, or current locums to earn more from, locum optometry. I've learned coding, business and even done the uncomfortable step of putting my face out there to help optometrists like myself who had that desire.
